DAMN! The gasmic SRT is in rehab.... Im sorry to hear that hunn, what a ****ty week its been for you. Well thankfully by the time your car gets back out on the road it'll be more gasmic then ever.

Keep it black. I was thinking of changing the color of mine. But the more I look at it, the car just doesn't look evil as hell if its not black. The other colors are just "skittles". Nice colors dont get me wrong, but nothing is more menacing than a black SRT-4 with a big *** front mount staring you down in the rear view with a "Move Bitch" type attitude.

I'm kind of partial to what LilSparkPlug said. I think your SRT-4 looks really great in black, but I also think a color like Smoke or Charcoal gray, Black & Blue Pearl, or even a Chameleon style blues/black paint job could look awesome....and still maintain that evil look.

Either way, I think it has to stay a dark color. I've never been a big fan of the bright colors anyways, although any shade of blue is my favorite

I'm hoping to do my car in Black & Blue Pearl, it comes out something like a very deep deep Violet/Midnight blue color, but it's metallic..

Anyone remember the Six Million Dollar Man?

Latrodectus, SRT-4. A car barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild her. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first street driven 10 sec SRT-4. Latrodectus will be that car. Better than she was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Also on the Black car thing. The goal is to make the car appear Black from a distance, but when the light hits it just right to see the bronze/gold flakes. Kind of like the Chameleon paint. Something like the '05 STI Black pearl w/ gold flakes.

wow sorry to hear this! i was hoping to see a 10s run from you this season! but then again, it's always race season for you in arizona so i'm sure that after the new year we'll be seeing that 10!
Yea, I have to wait for the local strips to post their schedules for 2006, but I expect sometime in mid-late Jan to hit that 10. And with the added safety equipment, I won't have to worry about only getting one shot at it before getting booted from the track, I'll be legal to 10.000.

Also, not to be a *****, but if you can't at the very least post my entire response, dont pick out one part and call me on it.
It is common practice to cutout parts of a quote. I only had an issue with one part of your thread.

Sorry to hear your troubles. I had an 82 Honda knighthawk 750 with its original paint that was heavy metal flake and changed from black to dark grey. looked good and took on a whole new personality in the sunlight. Removing the crosshair makes that ride of yours look mean as hell.

By Black and blue pearl do you mean black paint with blue pearl added to it?? If so thats ALOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT of pearl that youll have to add to the clear coat to get the color effect you want. Your almost better trying a violet shade of blue and adding black and a bit more pearl until you achieve what you want. Trust you me, Ive done it. LOL

No, this is an actual black and blue pearl paint. It's metallic. It's a very pretty paint job. I had it on my Impala before my boy dipped it in 15 layers of pure Kandi Chameleon blues......

That said, I'll try and find a picture of it so you can see

lil spark plug is talkin bout dual and tricoded paint being the pearl essence mixed in with the clear coat...being two part paint and one part clear. To get the pearl effect of a paint its better (in most cases) to mix it in with the clear coat and spray it over the base coat...not all pearls are the same and most have goldish hues which can give different effects to dark and light colors alike...which is why its important to mix it a certain way. And it is a good idea to select the right paint to while there are acrylic enamels and laquers and urethane primers and laquer style primers all of them give different effects to a paint job. So mixing it right will save your 1000 dollar paint job from lookin like a 25 dollar krylon spray bomb.....
