this sounds real stupid to me ...... but
has anybody ever herd of the k&n cci causing excess blow-by. i mean really excess like 2 quarts.. i brought it to the dealer because i thought it was a head gasket or turbo seal and they told me it was the intake? idn wanted to see if anybody else incounter the same problem? thanks -mike
The ? is did you hook up the line from the valve cover to the intake? They really dont tell you but your not suppose to, the stock airbox has a sponge in it to catch all of the oil the blows threw, the aftermarket cai dont have anything to catch that oil so it just gets sucked into the turbo....Just my 2 cents if that helps...
yea i pluged the intake side, have a filter on the valve cover, and the occ on the pvc. im also only getting like 10 lbs on s1 w/o boost controler, but with it i get whatever its set at?? weird. i take it off to go into the dealer, and thats when i noticed all the problems

I can't see how an aftermarket intake can cause that if the line to the valvecover is plugged and you have a breather on there. There is no oil going into it, so how could it? Does not make sense to me.
If you are only hitting 10 psi on s1 ecu it sounds like a vaccum leak to me. I would conjecture that a boost controler will make it keep going until it gets to that higher level, but at the expense of your turbo's livelyhood. Have you done a boost leak test? If there is a leak in the pcv occ system this could happen as well.
oil is coming out the exaust. there is speckels all over the back bumper. also the intercooler is pouring it out likes it is its job. i think it is a turbo seal. how can i check the seal and how hard is it to replace? how would i do a boost leak check??
if your intercooler is still leaking oil recheck your pcv/occ install. my intercooler leaked b4 the pcv/occ install, not a drop since. the occ should collect all the oil. it might also explain your boost leak.

i dont think its the occ because of the fact that the car stock still isnt gonna get 2 quarts of blow by so that makes me think seal. has anybody changed one b4?? how hard is it??
