My wife's burnt orange ordered-for-her '05 SRT-4 came home just over a year ago with 2.4mi on it's odometer. My wife mimics my **** approach at record-keeping - and has a memo book in her car for gas/oil/maintenance records. It has 11.5+ k mi on it now. The last 1278 mi required 56.3 gal of Exxon Premium (Hey, if it is good enough to grace the Alaskan coastline, it's good enough for my car!). The driving included no trips - just a half highway and half city streets daily 14 mi trip each way to work - and the usual 'shopping'. It has had only dino-oil (It was good enough for my other turbo's!). She is not a sedate driver, having honed her 5sp/turbo skills on my 'much improved' via MOPAR Performance goodies '90 Shadow Turbo ES prior to the SRT-4. In fact, she is frightening. I don't drive that fast... but my ride now is an '05 Jeep Liberty (19.4 mpg on Exxon Regular for first 12+k mi). Still, I expected better than the 22.7mpg she gets in the SRT-4... I got 25+ around town and 31+ on the road in that 'improved' Shadow, but it seems acceptable when compared with what others are getting out of the SRT-4's. I wonder what kind of brake and clutch 'mileage' folks are getting?

I can go almost exactly 1 month on a full tank of gas. The PD is only 4 miles one-way, grocery stores, Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Domino's and a great Chinese and even better Mexican eating places are right across the street.

Damn, suddenly, moving to Colorado doesn't sound so great........

Colorado has it's ups and downs. I'm glad I live here, but it's just to easy to waste gas!!!!

My mileage has improved, however I still only am getting about 18 - 20 . . .
I'm looking forward to living there, it's just the area I'll be in is a little, shall we say, "remote"? The sage brush, tumble weeds, and rabbit grass on and around the land will mean selling my SRT-4 and getting a P/U with more ground clearance. I had the same problem in Montana with my Mustang GT, I got a Ford Bronco to take care of that, but most SUVs are too "tippy" prone to do any serious off roading in the mountains around the San Luis Valley of Colorado.

I am pushing 19 pounds of boost, k&n typoon intake and lower I get 25-28 steady. I keep my foot in the gas all the time and I have 54000 miles on my srt 4. That is stock motor and turbo.
