Default SRT-4 drag times

I finally saw some SRT Neons at the track today. There were three, and at least one had some mods, down pipe, wastegate, blow-off valve. The cars were running from 14.8- 15.2. I thought these cars were quicker than that. Maybe it was the driver.

It's either the driver or a messed up SRT-4!!! I can do better than that in reverse!!![:'(]

Damn, that's bad!!!! My first time ever to the track, in ANY car, was last Aug in my SRT. My wors time of the day was 14.8, I think. 10 runs, most in the 14.3-14.5 range. 14.25 best. Trust us, they are faster, just takes some practice to put it down clean and launch well. A skill I'm still working on, I might add

Those are by far the worst times I've ever seen or read of from an SRT-4,[sm=smiley26.gif][sm=smiley18.gif] might they have been done up SXT's?[sm=smiley36.gif]Either that or it was "track time for the mentally challenged day" at the track.[sm=smiley36.gif]They should have been able to do better than that with a plug wire off of it.

This was at the "Mopars at the Rock" event yesterday. The air was good and the temps were in the low to mid 80's. I'll be honest, I was expecting a whole lot more than what I saw. I have a funny feeling it had something to do with the "challenged driver" thing.[sm=smiley1.gif]

Aren't the SRT4's supposed to run high 13s from the factory?

Thats what the stock 03's that I saw last year were running, most were 13.7-13.9 with one running 14.2-14.3. I have yet to see an'04 run in person, but I know I will this year.[sm=smiley2.gif]
