Rims/Slicks....
Ok, I feel the need to clarify.
Slicks are usually referred to in inches, like the larger 4 wheel drive truck tires still are in the old American way. The 1st # is the overall Dia. in inches. The 2nd # is the TIRE width, NOT the rim width in inches (and that is, I believe, the overall width and not the tread width)(somebody check me) as the sidewall bulges even farther out. The last # is the rim dia. in inches. Note that the tire width does not have to match the rim width and the tire width is usually wider than the rim width. Example being a truck tire that measures 31x10.50x15 will mount comfortaby on a 15x7 or 15x8 or 15x10 inch rim.

Amy. What gear and rpm are you going through the traps in? I am right at 6200 in third. I really want to shift, and usually do, but have run through bumping the rev limiter at no difference in time.
i go through in 4th. my speeds are off due to the huge tires and not being able to push them. it's messed with the gearing and made it so that i'm shifting into 4th after the 1000' mark, and only trapping around a 113/114. the 24.5" should allow me to go into fourth earlier and put my trap speeds where they should be, in the 118-120 range.
With the coilover suspension you should be able to fit any slick you want (within reason).
I'm running 26x8" Hoosier slicks on 15x8.25" Bogart Racing Wheels. The Bogarts are a bit pricey (close to $400/wheel), but if you want/need a wheel that is more than 7" wide and lite (mine weighed right at 10lbs ea), then they're the way to go.
Another option for a stockish SRT-4 is the 26x6" tire, which will fit on PT Cruiser Steelies (or any 15x6 to 15x7 wheel that clears the brake calipers) A friend of mine has been running this setup on a S1 car and ran a best of 12.6@106 with them. I believe his mods were S1 ECU, S2 WGA, Needswings DP, MBC, MSD and CAI running about 21psi (falling to 15-16 @redline) on race gas. There is another SRT-4 in the club that has been using the 26x6" slicks on an AGP 50trim equipped car which has run a best of 11.9.

I know it would fit because I have coilovers....but im asking would i have to change my suspension if i do put on a 23x8x15 tire? or would it fit fine with stage 3 c/o to the stop rings? anyone else?
