I put just a little on each side and spread it around on it with my finger making a thin layer over the entire surface of the gasket on both sides, around the happy face and the bolt holes. Then I placed the gasket on the BOV, it is very sticky but it also allows you to reposition it if needed. It's almost sticky enough to hold the BOV on by itself. The hardest part is trying to get all the peices put on with the hard bolt and getting that bolt started. You will have to gently pry the oil line out of the way for clearance, not much just a little unless you don't mind disconnecting the oil line. After I got the parts in place with that bolt, I put the other two bolts in and threaded them in a little. Then I got my left arm back up under the exhaust/turbo with an open ended short wrench, I held the bolt in place with a butter knife to keep it from falling out as I started to thread it in. I had to use the open ended short wrench until it was almost tight, then I had enough room to use my ratcheting box end wrench. Snug up the bolts nicely, put the pink hose back on, put the intake tube back on, clear everything from it and your ready for a shakedown run.[sm=smiley20.gif]

I let the whole bov hang down off the one hard bolt while I got it started- that gave me alot more room to work with, and then before it got too snug I rotated the whole assembly up into position and used an open ended wrench to tighten it. If I had to do it over, though, I'd buy an open-ended ratcheting wrench so I could just hold it on there and ratchet it back and forth. It was a HUGE pain taking the wrench off and repositioning it every time, especially when I only had room for about an eighth of a turn at a time.
