I am bit surprised the compressor is only turning around 60k. I have heard of numbers almost twice that value (not for this car or turbo).

A great article from Hotrod magazine on turbo breakdown and links to more turbo knowledge than you most likely want. What I do with an article like that is just keep it handy for when questions do arise, pretty soon, you have a handle on it.
