upgrade dilemma
Im torn on what to fix up....
Ive got a clean 66 mustang cpe with a 289/c4 automatic. Good suspesion, 17's, front 13" Baer brakes, real radio, that runs a 17 flat...lol
I figure 4-5 grand for motor, 347 stroker/edelbrock performer rpm heads/sportsman block....used top end on a new short block
another 2-3 for a built auto/overdrive trans/rear end
another 2 for hood/exhaust/rad/fans
or
throw the stage 3 at the srt with an exhaust and some rims/tires (what, $5g max).....warranty be damned, then freshen up the 289 for less than 2g's.
I went classic for getting around emissions laws and insurance reasons on a performance car (quickly learned that cash value policies cost $$$)
mod bug is biting hard. I already know that one mod always leads to another and budgets are always overrun.
may have to sell the bike for some quick cash.

Mod the SRT, and keep the Stang as it is, in its natural state. Polish it all up nice, fix the paint whatever it may need. Most old cars are far better in their natural condition if well-kept-up than a modified condition. Especially if you plan to sell it in years to come. Thats my .02
