RSX-S to SRT-4
As ya'll can see I'm a noob here and getting rid of my RSX-S and getting a SRT-4 I prefer a 04 what do ya'll thaink? I'm selling my rsx for 15k and I'm guessing I would be able to find one for under 15k.. I was thinking black or silver, but what I heard was that the black and siver ones were faster then the others (S Yelow,E blue,F red,orange.. Is that true? If there's anyone from texas selling a SRT4 for a good price email me at mespinoza@tmail.com.. Or if anyone wanys to trade, which I doubt. I'm selling mine cause I need a fast 4 door and my first pick was a srt4..
I'm in Texas too, and I'm not selling my super fast SRT-4!!!! Seriously, there is no difference in the speed of the car according to the body color.....now if you see one that has a serious custom paint job, chances are the owner did a few things under the hood as well. The 04's and 05's SRT-4's are identical power wise, it's up to you to add the mods to make the difference.

Tough task, but do-able. Despite similar ratings, the 2004 out performs the 2005 regularly; no one knows exactly why, but it does. I don't know if I would nail it down to color, I know drivers of each color who have especially fast cars. I am one of the lucky ones...my silver clocked under 5.3 to 60 in stock form.
I wonder if they dumbed down the ecu programing a bit. I know that they did that on the current gen celica, as my 2000 GTS drove much more aggressively with a pronounced cam changeover, compared to 2002 and newer ones where you can hardly feel it(it seems that people were winding out the engine and killing it and transmissions as a result, under warranty, which no automaker wants). A lot of first and second year cars are the best performers, setting the bar and expectations high and spiking sales for a few years in the lifespan of a particular model.
Getting a black or silver srt-4 is a good idea, too. I know I love my silver 2004---don't think I'll ever sell it, though. You just never grow out of black or silver, either. You can dress them up in a variety of ways and look awesome, and you can also pass as an adult(don't anyone dare insinuate that I am one of those) if you want.

Kbb.com put mine at around $16.5K with 11k miles on it in excellent condition (no snow or rain driving for me)

If you don't mind hand washing it every single time, black is the best color. Yes it is hard to type this time of year with frostbite on your fingers from washing the salt off every other day.[sm=yikesomg.gif]
