It's safe and fine to run 100 octane unleaded without it, you can run it in a stock SRT-4 if you want to. It's just a matter of being able to pay for it. It will also run a little hotter than normal running 100 octane.
Nice install on the S2 glhs. I heard its a day to get it installed. Worth the money from what i have seen and read about it. Whats the chances of wireing the mopar sprayer to operate a DEI cryo unit? Only queston i have about it. About 100 octane gas in a srt-4, S2, yeah its got the switch for it and tells the pcm its running it, S1 or stock your wasteing your money. There is nothing to tell the pcm your running 100 octane, and with the joykill pcm anything you do will be defeated and reset to the stock levels. So why burn $4.50 a gallon 100 octane, when it runs the same on 93 octane $1.98 a gallon gas?
andy, no reason at all you cant. Just two wires at that end. The system would not know or care what it's triggering. Myself, I would lean towards an N2O unit, vice a CO2. I would be afraid of ingesting some of the CO2, possibly killing combustion.
That shouldn't be an issue unless maybe you hit it while your racing. Hit it before hand and it will freeze the intercooler, then run it without any worries or problems.
