Default Grease around the boots?

I just dropped my car with the Tein springs. And I was wondering when you drop a car is it normal that there is grease coming out around the boot? It wasnt much grease but it is something that concerns me. Thanks for the help......

Sounds like a blown cv or busted axle. do you hear a click at startup in first or when braking at low speed?

No I dont hear that. It is only one side that blew. And I checked both sides and they feel like they are the same.

I think I misread - you have a leak around the boot on the strut?

I thought you were talking about the cv boot for some reason...if that was the case:
It would only be one side. Still could be the cause.

But if it is a strut, it sounds like a busted seal, it'll progressively worsen, probably. Time for some tokiko 5 ways or something made to run at higher pressure(it's okay, though - you will like the improved dampening of a better setup). Just my .02.

Damn I'm good. I should've been a mechanic. Anywho - don't pay anything if you are still under warranty. Take it to a good dodge dealer and see if they can replace the axle while they are in there, under warranty. There is a TSB about the axle and they can probably get it all lumped together. That is what I would do (actually, what I did, and I have a new left front axle and cv boot).

It can. You either want a dealer that is so stupid they don't notice the different springs or one that is so good that they will get it done anyway because they can. I would go for the latter. Hopefully you have a cool dealer in your area.

My fingers are crossed. Too bad you are 1500 miles away I know some good dealers around here, but I am lost in TX. Maybe check in on some local foums to see if anyone knows a cool dealer?

Let us know for sure.
