LMAO one of my friends actuallyl bought the tornado!! I just laughed while he installed it and thought he had more power. Then I showed him the Consumer Reports article about them and he was pissed. Pretty f***in funny experience (for me).
Ebay can be OK, but you have to be careful. I've had almost 400 transactions and have only been "burned" three times, thankfully on items that were cheap.
Sadly, many people think items on Ebay can be bought for less than their retail value. In a few cases this can happen, but normally bidders know the average retail price and will adjust their bids accordingly. Then there's the added cost of shipping.
On high-ticket items, most sellers will have an established "reserve price" which is the minimum price they will sell for. If nobody bids up to (or beyond) the reserve price, the seller doesn't have to sell it. One of the reasons for this is that the majority of sellers accept "Paypal" payments which means the seller has to pay a percentage of the sale price in fees to Paypal for handling the money transaction. This usually means the seller has "figured in" the added cost of Paypal to the reserve price.......

on ebay it depends on the item your looking at and the time of year whether or not you pay retail many items are seasonal it seems and at different times you can get them considerably cheaper i myself have done a couple hundred transactions and am yet to pay near a retail price you just have to track the items and price flux

those tornado things actually work on carbuerated vehicles. i have one on my girlfriends chevy suburban as a spacer between the carb and air cleaner. made a difference in fuel economy,it increaces the velocity on incoming air.
on turbo car is has no use use as it is a restiction in flow becuase your turbo already creates the spinning turbulence and air velocity that the tornada thingy does.
early turbo cars like my dodge conquest have similar designs built into the throttle body....called "injection mixer" it spins and tumbles incoming air to mix with fuel better and feed the four intake runners evenly. this was only beause throttle body injection had just one or two injectors and needed the effect of turbulence to prevent leaning out the #2 and 3 cylinders.
