Just got back from iraq one month ago and decided to buy a srt over a regular wrx. Done nothing to it but a OCC. Have at least 4000 miles on it with no problems as of yet. All i wanted was to go to the track and have a peacefull couple of runs to see what i ran. Well i get there and there is a couple of sti's. I make my first run and i launched at 1800 and crazy wheel hop. 15.00 @97. ****ty i know. Then these two guys with the sti's wanted to race me talking all kinds of mess. We pull up to the blocks and i babied it alot. Broke 14 on my second run with a regular street start no wheel hop and spanked this kid in his dadies sti that couldn't drive to save himself. All he was running was 14.7. nd his budddy later raced me and all he ran was 15.00. I have no idea what was wrong with them but that quickly left after my next two passes at 14.00. But luckly not to many people where there when i made my last run of a 14.9 when my shift to 2nd the **** fell off.WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THAT **** STAY ON. I DON'T GRIND GEARS BUT I HIT THE GEARS HARD AND THAT IS THE SECOND TIME THAT IT HAS HAPPENED. I GUESS I HAVE TO BUY A sts TO HELP FIX THE PROBLEM. YESSSS

nice subaru kill! my srt isnt running good enopugh to take on any sti's but maybe soon. i actually wanted a wrx sti but my loan woudn't quit cover the cost.speaking of sts i see 'em on ebay for $69.00!!

wow, nice kills, someone really need to teach those subaru guys how to drive, 14.7 is HORRIBLE, and 15.0 is unspeakable.

The **** will pop off with the STS too, you need to get an STS that has a threaded shaft, or do what I did, and use Door skin adhesive. That bad boy will NEVER come off.

14.7 That is terrible. They are a mid to low 13 sec car stock. ****, the forrester XT is a 13 sec car.

 

No its not their slogan, yes it should be. And I don't see any for 69 bucks. There are either the Mopar ones which are goin for about 100 plus shipping, or the "OBX" ones which are only for the "95-99" srt-4. I hear those are fast. .

 

99 srt-4 huh??? Must've been a damn special vehicular object...Ive never seen one!

 

Tried as I did, I ran a 13.9 something against an STI's 13.5 something last time I was at the track. I had caught up to his rear bumper at one point, but he started pulling on me again at the end. My best that day was a 13.86 but there were 2 STI's there and they both eventually ran 13 teens.
Next summer I may have a little somethin for em as I will no longer be stock BTW, both of them were running some kinds of aftermarket computer gismos too. MBC's? + a BOV on the one.
