srt-4 or evo8?
Tympyst
I know you wanted someone to write to you about driving both cars and our impressions... i have not driven both, only my SRT (like said early, EVO's are hard to find in the land of Detroit American Iron
point is, have you driven both of them? I know you want insight, but you are going to get a biased answer here... I considered a WRX vs the SRT before I bought my SRT... but, I am glad in my choice. I did the same thing with a Mustang GT and the SRT... and once again, for me the SRT was a better choice... you have to decide what YOU are going to do with the car and what you want to spend on it. I knew I wanted some room in a small car, a moonroof, and enough power to keep up with some of the cars my friends own (Mustangs, Camaros, etc). But i also wanted something simple, somewhat affordable, and a little different... from what I have read, the EVO is a good car, but you need to figure out what YOU want and need the car for!
just my $0.02 subject...

i would drive em but seeing as im only 17 still the dealerships wont let me in one. when i 18 though im gona try em out. anyway, does anyone know of a generl forum on cars so it wont be as biased? thanks for your opinions anyway.
Im also 17 and i own a 2003 srt-4, they did't even ask me for my age when i took it for a test drive, i was also thinking about buying a stang gt but as soon as i drove the srt-4 there was no doubt in me. My friend owns a 2003 evo 8, the evo is faster at the 1/8 and i know this cause we raced once but at the highway the all weel drive didn't helped him at all, even though he was behind me the whole time he couldn't pass me.
17 YRS WITH A 2003 SRT!!! WOW

im not to rich, its gona be bout a year before i can get a car but a reason im getting one at all is cause my mom is going to match whatever money i put down so im planin to save 10k. that way ill have a 20k down payment and then what ever the monthly payment is after tht i gota pay for.
AMERICAN or rice, what could be your delimma??? Buy a $21,000 car, spend $400 and have you an American car that will out run any rice rocket ever made...
Also, American cars will grow in value after a while, rice wagons begin losing value immediatly and never regain any value. Ever seen anyone on a talk forum advertising that they have a 71toyota or a 71hyundai? we have several people here with old cars that they can be proud to say they own.
