Its the same way out here (Michigan). It got so bad the state made it a misdemeanor and cops can even give you 2 points on your driving record if they want to be a$$ holes about it. I think they had got fed up with everyone just paying the fine and leaving the tint on the windows anyway. A few years ago I got pulled over three times in one night for my 30% in my side windows. The 3rd cop wrote me up and she didn't even want to hear that I just got warned twice that night already. So I think I'm only going to tint the back three windows on my car. Somewhere in the 5 to 15% range should work.[sm=shades.gif]
