I need winter tires can anyone give me a good winter tire package to get and a good place to get them?

 

tirerack has a winter tire package with 15" steelies and blizzaks, that's always a good combo.

Discount tire has a winter package,its like $400 bux...I went with this package and im very satisfied....It consists of 4 Black Pt steelies w/ Hankook W401S(non studded but studdable)...

 

X2 - love my lm-25's - and I can still take turns pretty hard, unlike those with 15"steelies.

 

Post, traction is what all the letters on the sidewall are there for. j/k...twisties arent my thing but these knobbies dig out of the hole.

 

Letters schmetters...Can you tell me what 195/65-15 snow tire comes in a v speed rating? They might dig out of a hole(a snowy one-like the pun), but they can't launch worth a lick.

speed ratings on tires are only for sustained high speed, you would be a stain on the seat wraping one of these skittles around a pole @ 115 mph.

 

Fenerally, the guy in the other lane thinks the srt-4 is surprisingly fast as it dusts him, no matter what the tire, but I think anyone hitting a pole at 115 would be nothing but a stain on their seat, no matter what the car.

And have you ever taken a turn at 145 on a non v rated tire? I haven't but I don't think it would be a good idea, either. I have taken turns at 145 in the srt-4 though and found it supremely stable. (actually moreso than my 944 at 130).
