I am planning on getting a single exhaust for my srt-4 as oppossed to the dual that almost everyone has. Before I do, is there any advice anyone can give me as to how to do this and not mess up my car?
Put a muffler on it, alot of people have done it but almost always run a muffler. I forget the name of the muffler that doesn't make the car sound like your local honda/acura owner...maybe someone else does. Bump for muffler names
If you are having a system fabbed, and you want a performance muffler that flows but is quiet with no resonance inside, seriously check out the Hooker Aerochamber. They have a good note at higher rpms but are dead quiet at idle and lower speeds. Amazing. I have a set of them on my ol D-100 with a v-8 and headers. I love em. Great technology. Look them up on the web. Hooker is now owned by Holley I believe.
Thanks for your help guys, I was planning on buying a muffler and then just having a custom exhaust system made, you guys recommend a cat? Someone told me an 18" resonator would be good, what do you guys think? Dont get me wrong the stock exhaust sounds nice and rumbly but I am more of a single exhaust person, never been a fan of dual exhaust, what do you guys think?
