Default Regarding the Mopar STS.....

Will the factory shift boot and **** interchange with the short throw? I was on a website about to order an STS with Boogers, but they mentioned needing a new **** and boot. I figured the parts would just swap over. Am I under a false assumption? Are these guys trying to gouge me for more $$?

Yes the parts swap over. I dont use the stock **** anymore, but the Mopar STS is made to use it. I never ordered the bushings either, Im still running on stock bushings, no problems. Actually my car shifts smoother than my friend's car that has those stupid things. Unless he installed them wrong, which is very possible. He also didnt install the clip retainer for the line. WHOOPS I just lost 2, 4th and Reverse.

but yeah they're trying to own you. You dont need a new **** or boot.....

Thanx. I figured those punks were trying to make me a chump, I just needed verification sos that I didn't think I was gonna be all smart and not order their parts and wind up a chump in the end anyway. Btw, where's a good place to find aftermarket shift ***** for future reference?

Read it thoroughly, it may say that for the regular neon (non-SRT-4) you have to get a new **** and boot.

Then again, they may just be try'in to punk you.
