I have an 05 srt-4. I am trying to find a way to make it awd. I know it will take some work but has anyone heard of this or know someone that can??

I really need to get more sleep. I thought I was in the SRT section. That's what I get for watching that "desperate housewives" show. I'm always out of it for two days or so after watching that damn thing.

 

I dont think you can do it, dodge made it front wheeldrive for a reason i dont know if there is enough room. AWD would be so freakin awsome, but your gonna kill your Hp and tourque. If you can do it i'm def down because i have no traction ahahah

anything is doable with enough money... and i think it would cost at least 13-15k. i would just get a good suspention and learn how to drive.

awd isnt the best drivetrain its just looks that way to a lot of young guys who see wrx's and evo's and most are still babys at driving so awd is the easest.

if you had the money to convert and were dead set on doing it make it rwd.

 

want to explain how changing your drive train will do anything to your engine output?

 

yea thats what i was gonna say, i mean look at the evo's hp. then look at a dyno chart of the base evo, i saw one and it was 270 at the crank and 230 rwhp. then compare the srt4 hp to a dyno and u will see the awd lost more hp/tq because it has more drivetrain to go through. thats also a reason why the evos and wrx's are so high in cost. i personally think it would ruin what the srt4 is about. it would be kinda cool to see tho.

It seems that you are either just throwing out ideas for feedback, or are one of those guys with enough time and money to make a massive innovation like this. Anyways, if you just want a quick sedan with AWD, you have a few options. If you actually want an SRT-4 with AWD, talk to Cosworth.
