Ok so i decided that im just gonna get the prothane inserts,i was lookin at the ones the modernperformance has.What do you guys recommend the SOFT or the RACE HARD ones.also how hard are these to install and does it give you install directions when you purchase....thanx for any input

when you buy it from modernperformance, they always give you the RACE one unless you wanted the SOFT and nobody wants soft lol. The installation is very easy all you need is 2 jacks and some power tools.

Another thing Im not too fond about with solid mounts is that damned power steering whine. Oh how annoying that gets. On top of the car vibrating like well....yeah, you get that whining sound which is CONSTANT while driving, louder on accel. Its all up to you in what you want. I've driven cars with solid and inserts, and I liked the inserts better.

inserts are ok for about 6 months if you do any sort of frequent driving, after that they go to crap. i had inserts and went to a solid mount. when i took off my stock mounts, they were warpped, stretched and about to brake. i don't notice that much vibration or issue with the solid mounts. the whine is there, but i don't even hear it anymore. much better choice for the serious racer.

mounts or inserts?

i had solarflare inserts (think prothane, only they were before prothane....same thing though). i went with psi-fi dogbones eventually.
