What do you guys and gals think about this. A lot of the JDM guys use this. Engine tq damper...hmm...do you think you could actually tell a difference in putting the pedal to the power to the wheels to the ground?

As long as it doesn't "replace" an existing strut, what do you have to loose? I't a cheap mod, and might help with some wheel hop issues.

Ok, I personally tried a solid type mount that replaced the stock upper mount, and I hated it. Yes, there is NO WHEEL HOP!!!
However, the vibration through the car was not worth it. I could also hear the belts resonating throught the car.

I went with a filled stock upper and lower mounts, works great with no vibration issues. Now this mount your showing the link to looks
interesting, because its not replacing the factory mount, however its re-enforcing it. It looks like it might be the best of both worlds,
but need to find someone that has it.

A lot of the Nissan guys use this. Some Honda. Seen a few on S2000's. The guys that have them on their 240sx's say they can tell a little difference. It only allows the engine to tq a few degrees rather than a lot.

If it's a shock absorber type torque strut, it might help reduce some wheel hop/engine movement.

My '85 Daytona Turbo had one, factory.

Aint nothin new, my '86 Buick Park Ave had one too. Lot's of fwd cars use them. The theory is; it lets the engine move, but resists harmonic oscillations by creating resistance to movement. It may not actually decrease the amount the engine CAN move, but will absorb a lot of the energy trying to move the engine. I was thinking about using one too, but I'm pretty well sold on the AGP's.
