borla cat back
I know that this subject has probally been beaten to death but i want to get a new exhuast thats not going to void my warrenty. I would like it to be louder and give some kind of performance which i kno is hard to get much with a cat back. I guess is what im asking is it worth the 350 for the catback or could i spend that on something else and get more bang for my buck. Right now all i have is a K&N CAI and mopar blow off valve. Also another questoin thats probally been beaten to death but what are the performance aspects of a downpipe and will they void the warrenty. Any input at all would be apreciated thanks
If you mod your SRT-4, you stand the chance of voiding your warranty if the dealer claims the modification caused the failure of whatever part fails. The law states they are supposed to prove the mod caused the failure, but dealers being dealers, some do and some don't. For a detailed explanation of the law, click on the link below....

when i got my exhaust my dealer told me that you could have any aftermarket exhaust put on you want as long as it was from an actual exhaust shop without affecting your warranty and he actually recommended going with something other that the borla

I've got a custom straight 3" and while one dealer (whos service manager wanted to kill me because I was smarter than him [Paul Bailey Dodge here in Kingstown, RI]) decided that my car was no longer street legal, my new dealer, Lincoln Dodge, in Lincoln RI, said that theres absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you talked to the service manager and hes cool with it, then I say go for it. But if your worried about warranty Mopar is always your best bet.
