hi, i just got an 05 srt-4 and where i live it is mustang country there is this one mustang that i am kinda worried about i took a little peak under the hood and he has a b303 cam gt40 heads cold air kit msd box nos 3.73 gears cobra intake and 75mm throttle bodie he told me he want to run a 4 banger but im going to talk to a guy that bulids really fast 4 bangers and he told me if i give 8 grand he can give me 450hp so do you guys think i will have trouble with the cobra's and 5.0's

At first I read Mustang (yawn) yada yada yada then I saw cam (hmmmm) heads (hmmmm) yada yada yada yada then I saw NOS (HMMMMMM).
I'm thinking he's easily beatable without the nitrous for less than 8 grand, but if he runs the nitrous, and has suspension and slicks and his whole package is well tuned, you might want want to go pick on somebody more your own size. You might be looking at a ten second 'stang. There are few to none 10 second Neons. And the ones that may be there got a whole lot more than 8 grand in them.

i raced a 4.6 mustang on 75 shot and beat him off the hole. if you planning on racing for money, try to avoid it. Cause you never know what he is hiding. Just race him for fun and when the time comes later on, then you can race for money. My recommendation

 

race for fun... and tell him he'll probably beat you the whole time... that way if you win, be humble about it (so you don't give all us SRT owners a bad name) and if you lose, tell him it was a good run and it was fun... just be humble about it... it's not like your **** is going to get bigger buy beating him or girls are going to care one way or another ;-) hahahaha

Race him for fun, use his car as something to look up to power-wise. Rather, use his car as the one you want to beat if its truly that fast. Ask him for his time slips from 1/4 mile runs, or just ask him what he ran. Race him for fun, and as you mod more and more, continue to race him, it'll give you a good gauge of where your standing especially if you know his 1/4 times.

 

is it a 5.0 or a gt? if its a 5.0 i think you will be closer but still loose eather way. with my s2 and other goodies i can beat most 5.0s ive seen and take a gt with the mods you showed without the spray. dont put money on the line because you will most 90% loose if your stock.
