so, if I get some time I will try and post the video of me playing around with a 96 Mustang GT and a 2001 Cobra from this last weekend... but till then, let me try and give some info on it all...

96 GT with Magnaflow exhaust... the rest is stock GT
01 Cobra with short throw shifter, cold air intake, under drive pulleys, FR500 exhaust...
04 SRT-4 with $20 oil catch can and a K&N air filter, oh yeah, I have a Transformers sticker on my back window

The basics of it are - GT's are not really a problem... from a start I pulled on him the whole way... from a rolling start I have to wait for my boost to kick in... once the turbo spools up, I can pull right through my buddies GT...

The Cobra however... from our rolling starts he takes off quicker and is hard for me to gain anything on him... note, I hang with him, but can not really gain anything on him... from a stopped start (aka traffic light) our launches were terrible (we didn't really know if we were racing or not, hence cops were in the area) however... he still pulled on me and ended up pulling ahead before we backed off the gas... he wins, but not by leaps and bounds...

so what's the point? The Cobra (at least his with the listed mods) is faster than my stock SRT... the "stock" 96 GT was "slower" than my "stock" SRT. Either way, my buddies were very impressed with my "little Neon"... haha...

and to add to it, I have mentioned this before - but... the Cobra has raced a stock STi and lost... hence, if the Cobra beats me, and a STi beats the Cobra.... a STi should beat me...

I'll second that.[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif] The most powerful stickers around here are Jegs stickers, I've seen a truck and a Civic with well over 1,000 horsepower worth of Jegs stickers.[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]

It's great to hear ya' kickin' the pony cars in the rear. If you get Stage 2, you'll be eating up the Cobra and the STi for lunch.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]

It all goes back a ricer putting decals/stickers on his car and trying to drive and act like he had a real bad-a$$ machine.....I'm sure you've seen the type. It just "evolved" from that.....[sm=smiley4.gif]

Yup, and once you put one on, you're addicted. I have a pile of them on my kitchen counter that cry out to me "Put us on!" everytime I walk by them. They're evil, sneaky little creatures....[sm=smiley36.gif]

 

I couldn't even begin to count all the performance parts stickers that I have built up over the years and cars.[sm=smiley5.gif]

 

I don't know what came over me, it was the "curse of Ebay" I guess. I've got decals for stuff I don't even like or use!!!![:'(]

 

I have a few that I got in goodie bags at car shows for stuff I don't have or use, but most are from parts that I've bought.
