I tried to search for it but had no luck and I know its probly been discussed many times but any help would be great. I just talked to one of the guys at modernperformance and he old me I should try to raise the boost to get some more power out of my stage 2 with toys. He said with the extra fuel that I can safetly run 19-20psi with no problems. I just would like to know if hooking a manual boost controler would keep me from using DAB because I really like the chose of choosing what boost levels I want. Also if that wouldnt work is there any way a different wastegate could hold more boost and still let the DAB work. I appreciate your help and knowledge. Thanks

 

using a mbc will not allow you to use the dab. when you install a mbc you take away control from the ecu, which is how dab works.

you can use a new wga to help hold more boost, and it might help, but don't expect a miracle. toys was designed to run in certain perameters, and the ecu will pull timing if it sees things outside of what it expects. i'd suggest investing in a good w/i, that will actually help you get more power out of a s2 than a wga. not that a wga is harmful, just that it's not going to help all THAT much.

With my stage 2 without toys, I installed an AGP wga (old style). I connected it to the stock lines. I was able to pull 1-2 psi more initial boost than with the stage 2 wga. It seemed to hold more boost at redline also. This might be an option for use with the Dab.

w/i is a great thing...just got mine in the mail last week, still have to install it though....damn snow.

 

I have a way to make DAB work with a MBC, but it is not a simple design. It involves the use of a Vacuum/Boost solenoid and a pressure switch...

got the devil's own dual 3gph nozzle stage 1 set up....should be plenty to hopefully keep me in hom!!!!!

 

Just would like to know with the stage 2 how would w/i help me and what do you use to do it. I kind of need the basics explained to me. Hope its not to much trouble. Thanks.
