I agree with doof. disconnect da (-) battery for 10 min, then reconnect. This should reset your ECU/PCM... if not, check da error code

I nearly passed out today when I started my car and the buzzer went off. I looked at my gauges and it was the malfunction light. I still don't know what the problem is. I didn't take it in right away because of my AEM intake. I know that they will tell me that the intake is what is messing it up.
I have 2152 miles on it and I have added the $20 catch can and the AEM short ram intake. That is all I have done to it. I have never seen anyone else say that they have had problems with their aem intake, so I don't know what the problem could be.
Also, I read the owners manual and I was suprized at what it said, I cannot quote exactly what it said, but I took it to say that "as long as the light is not flashing, you are supposed to drive it like you always do for a couple of days and if it is still on, then take it in..." Like I said, I may have interpereted that wrong, but that is what I took it to say. As soon as I get over being lazy, I will run out to my car and quote exactly what it says for everyone.
Any help as to problems you have had would be great.

sorry it took so long to tell you guys what happened. I did just disconnect the battery for about 2 min and it turned the malfunction light off. It has been a few weeks and it has never come back on... I think that Dusty was right, it had been raining nonstop for what seemed like weeks and I think that the humidity had messed up the sensor in the AEM intake. That sensor was not used to getting that much airflow, and it was getting more humidity than when it was sealed inside the factory air box.
Thanks for all your ideas, and sorry it took me so long to update you...

This is one of the reasons that with any modification the instructions say to first disconnect the battery negative before doing anything else. It is also to keep from anything electrical getting fried in the process.[sm=smiley2.gif]
