Water sprayers on intercooler....
Another thing that i was wondering is how good for your car can water sprayers on your intercooler be? I see why you would want them for the cooling of the air but the cons of having these to me arnt worth it... i dont know if i just dont know much about them but i would asume that the water would cause rust or make the life of your intercooler much shorter... and what if u live in a dusty area and u just sprayed water on your intercooler now dust will accumlate and now u have a muddy intercooler. does anyone have these sprayers? or know a lot about them? but as it stands now i wouldnt want them on my car i could see it more for an actual race car but now i get off the soap box and wait for replys
What'cha mean man, living in a dusty area?? I resemble that remark!!!![sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
Dude- you must live in California, where it never rains. If water ruins your intercooler, then I'm screwed- we don't see a lot of sun up here, if you know what I mean.
Seriously, though (I mean, we seriously don't see the sun, but getting back to your question), I suspect that's one of the reasons DCX recommends distilled water for the sprayers. No, it shouldn't do anything to hurt or shorten the life of your i/c. I actually plan on going with a CO2 setup for mine, though.

I would asume hes in washington somewhere, its always cloudy up there, and raining. i had a friend that lived there and he was always complaning about it.
1. As stated, if rust was an issue, rain would kill it long before any amount of spraying.
2. Dust making mud should not be an issue, just don't use it.
3. While the gains might not be as high as the CO2 sprayer, you can swing by any Wal-mart and pick up gallons of distilled water for like .98
4. Gains from the Mopar are stated as 5 hp. Other ones, I can't say.

An aluminum intercooler cannot rust. The WRX and a few other intercooled turbo cars come with an intercooler sprayer from the factory, so no need to worry.[sm=smiley20.gif]
water is for wimps, go with the stage 2 turbo upgrade kit and a nitrous express intercooler spayer i found on www.turboneonstore.com the only draw back is no high octane fuel switch and the boost setting. that website recommends co2. i just dont see draining out all the windshield wiper fluid and filling it with distilled water then draining it again to replace the wiper fluid. what do u guys think? oh by the way the stage 2 is $850.00 and the nitrous express spayer is $400.00 ( depending on what size bottle) so u r going to be sending about the same amount.
Personally, I'd stick with the PVO (RIP) recommendations. It was their "baby" after all...[sm=smiley4.gif]
