I just installed the stage 2,oh man what a difference.I just have a ? about the wga.I am spikin at 16 and holding 13-14 psi,seems low so i was gonna adjust it but the more i thought about it i dont know how too,anyone might give me a lil insight and maybe what i should be hittin for boost.I have not hooked up the toys yet.........thanx for any input

 

that is a little low, and i'm assuming you installed the other s2 components (ecu, sensors, injectors). spiking 19 holding 16 or 17 is more normal. or you could have a freak like i did and see crazy boost, but that's not normal.

 

See i thought that was a lil low,so can you shed any light on how i should adjust this thing...sorry for the stupid ? but i have not ever messed with wastegates before.....thanx

 

there's an adjustment screw on the arm of the wga. just turn the screw to change the preload. did you preload it correctly to 4mm? if not, do that first then adjust later on. you'll probably have to mess with it a few times before you get it just where the car likes it.

 

Also, if it is very cold where you are, the boost will be lower. Just something to think about before you go back under the hood.

 

Its about 20 deg. right know but when i finished and ran it i would have to say probably like 4 below,so maybe i will wait a few days and test it out again......thanx for the input ya'll are great!

I had to go the same route andy did and cut a hole into the heat shield 3 out of the 5 bolts were seized[:@]

 

Ok i need help i have been adjusting this thing and i cant get it to push over 16psi,am i doing something wrong(loosen nut turn head tighten nut)is there something else im supposed to be doin.please help thanx for input

 

Don't forget to re-set the ECU after you make an adjustment. Just unhook the neg. side of the battery for about 15 min.

 

did you leak test the car? that's always a good idea. also if it's that cold out, you probably won't see much higher than 16psi. wait until it gets warmer and then see what it's doing. a good 50 degree day should be plenty to see what she's really pushing. what does the butt dyno say?

 

The butt dyno loves it,yeah its still pretty cold probably low 30's.Installed the toys last night and on dab 3 it moves....ok i have just one more ? i just installed the wastegate out of the box,i was lookin around on the forum and they say that you need to preload it????How do i do this and if i didn't do that would that maybe be my cause of low boost?thanx for the input
