Welcome to Dodgeforum.com, not to get off topic but how do you like your Spec-V? got any mods? ran it yet?

Hey, I love the Spec-V. I don't have any mods, I just got it last Thursday and it only has 571 miles on it. I like to break them in a little before I do anything to them. I plan on installing an exhuast and CAI this spring. I have to use NISMO parts if I don't want to void any of my warranties; which is ok with my because I like NISMO but some others may not like that fact.

Cool, I test drove one and loved it, its a real tight car in terms of suspension and I love that, its got plenty of torque for an import but the only thing that shyed me away was it being a front wheel drive car. Ive had a front wheel drive and now Id like to go for more performance and potential on the track, thats why Im looking at S14s instead.

Front wheel drive is a whole different world on the track. If you want a ton of performance I'd look into an AWD car.

Nah that gets too expensive, right now Im just gonna stick to rear wheel drive.

Hey its called a digital camera don't have one yet? One of my buddies has a 03' Spec V a red one, it looks bad. when i was riding in his car it felt like it had really good pep to it.

Also on the whole SRT-4 thing I think that it'd be cool as he!! to have one but I don't know it a neon, it has a good warrenty though, better than most, and they don't even have a turbo, just means dodge is there for ya.

ONEmore thing what about getting a sxt for about 11,000 and then putting a HKS ball bearing turbo on there with an HKS BOV and WG. I'm sure 8,000 in mods should push more than 230hp that'd be fun doing all that then having the factory turbo to were it's a pain in the a$$ to do a turbo upgrade.

Only problem I see with that is voiding the warranty and all the work that will need to be done to reach that level. Simply adding a turbo and intercooler won't cut it, it will need lower compression and probably strengthening of the bottom end.

I have had no problems at all with my srt-4 and everything runs great. Changing out the turbo cannot be that much of a prob though. someone, somewhere is already making the kits to put a bigger/ non mopar turbo on the car. every perfofmance website has major bolt on performance upgrades for the car.
