Default SRT-4 Problems

I was wondering if the SRT-4 has the same quality problems as the other Neons and Dodge products?? I have heard that Dodge used Mitsu to help with the turbo, is this true???

Hey, I love the Spec-V. I don't have any mods, I just got it last Thursday and it only has 571 miles on it. I like to break them in a little before I do anything to them. I plan oninstalling an exhuast and CAI this spring. I have to use NISMO parts if I don't want to void any of my warranties; which is ok with my because I like NISMO but some others may not like that fact.

Well don't know about other neons but have had no problems with my '04 srt to date. There is a lot of wind noise(mine has the sunroff) at 150mph, but the exhaust equals it out quite nicely. Mopar went with the mitsu turbo only. Mitsu did not help dodge with the 2.4 motor. As this motor and turbo were already being sold in mexico and south america, but with 155hp, for mountain areas. Any one that'sever drove a naturally aspiredcar in denver(thin air)will understand this. I wished dodge had used the new garrett t-9 turbo, but..........

Cool, I test drove one and loved it, its a real tight car in terms of suspension and I love that, its got plenty of torque for an import but the only thing that shyed me away was it being a front wheel drive car. Ive had a front wheel drive and now Id like to go for more performance and potential on the track, thats why Im looking at S14s instead.

Unfortunately the turbo is integrated into the exhaust manifold making a turbo upgrade a pain in the a**. Not many option besides the Dodge upgrade because of it.

Front wheel drive is a whole different world on the track. If you want a ton of performance I'd look into an AWD car.
