Ok so i went to get some race gas for the ride, they had 108 octane but it was leaded....Can i run leaded gas or will it hurt it?I dont have a cat on the car if that makes a difference...please help
Leaded fuel will hurt the catalytic converter fast. Leaded fuel also coats most oxygen sensors within a few seconds, thus making them slow to respond, or basicly junk. So no, I wouldn't run leaded fuel if your still using an oxygen sensor.
Im not running a cat so i am not worried about that, but from maybe past experiences has anyone had a problem running leaded gas???Or is it a big no no?
Im not trying to get anything more than 100+ octane....I have a hook up on it and its really convenient for me,so i just wanted to know if its gonna cause a problem of any sort?Unleaded isn't really a option,I would have to go to the track to get it and there closed plus about a 2 hour drive to get there...
As stated before over time it will kill your caT and your 02s other than that you should be fine, but I wouldnt make it a constant thing. Some people have run it for full race seasons without an issue, yet still....dont make a habit out of it unless you wanna be replacing sensors left and right.
