trust me, its one of the most effiencent intercoolers out there. there was a test by a group of very reputable sources here in New England. the AGP race and the CTI were 1,2 i believe and it was very close. u can check that test out in the performance section of the "other forum" its a sticky

it is 655

ed's new fmic wasn't out at the time of this comparison, so it's not really fair to make assumptions about it. the cti is a very good ic, just looks way to dinky for me. i got my beast for 475 from hector and i'm happy with it.....

So i have been thinkin about gettin a upgraded IC.Just need some input, right now im stage 2 w/toys plus all the lil minor bolt ons,i plan in the really near future doing ported intake w 60mm TB and adapter.Sometime down the road haven't quit made up my mind when yet but i want to do stage 3 add-on and cams..I was looking at Exhaust Depots FMIC and i really like the style of them but i need to know would buying the Beast(not the super beast) benefit me any right now?Would i be better off getting the direct fit upgrade?Oh yeah last but not least what do you think of stealth mode? thanx for any input

if you plan on upgrading to s3 then the beast is the right fmic for you. right now it will benefit you, however you'll see more gains when s3 goes on.

Thanx for the input, what do you think about the stealth??i think its kind of cool but the coolest thing about a huge IC is how mean it looks coming up in the rearview of another car!!!!One more quick ? for you PSI,what are some good IC pipes that 1.look good 2.flow good 3.dont pop off 4. dont take alot of customizing to fit?I was looking at ED's but i heard alot of good things and bad things about them any insight?

hard pipes that aren't a pain to install? ha! you're asking a lot!!! just about every set is a pita to get on, but once they're on they're usually ok. i have the ed pipes. never had a problem with them on the stock ic. then i got the psi-fi direct fit and had to get a agp hot side because the ed wouldn't fit properly. then i got the ed beast fmic and had to go back to the ed hot side because the agp wouldn't fit properly! haha it's been a mess. i would say ed or agp are the best ones out there, but both can be a pain to get on right. just use some big old clamps and get them on there nice and tight and you'll be fine.

as for the stealth ic, i'm not a fan personally. i like the look of a blingin fmic sitting no the front of my car, but that's just me. for those that want a more subtle look it's nice, although i've heard that the paint can be slightly thin due to the type required for heat transfer properties.
