my local napa just closed down, gotta find a new source for my goodies. let me know how you guys like the ngk irridiums. i'm running the denso's right now, but i'm starting to get a little hesitation at low rpm's again, i'm not happy about that. these plugs are only about 6 months old! might be time to switch over to ngk and see how those work for me........

Cost me 36 bucks after tax, and I go to pick em up today. Which isnt that bad at all considering that Modern wants 29.99 for them plus shipping. Its basically the same price.

I was just curious about the gap, its something Im not too familiar with.

Thanks LilSpark, just planning ahead. So how long to the sparkplugs last for everyone? I know the stock copper champs only last about 10k miles. Do the NGK 4306 last any longer? How about the iridiums? I'm putting in my NGK 4306 and the MSD wires on Friday. When, mileage wise, should I expect to see a loss of performance with these plugs?

Iridium plugs for other makers are tested to last 100k miles... Ford and GM have this requirement... DCX went cheap and only use nickel plugs for OEM... so... with that being said... 30K would be a great starter point for your iridium plugs... then check every 10k after that...

i wouldn't bet on it. our cars eat spark plugs for dinner. coppers lasted me 5-6k, and after only about 9k i'm on my second set of irridiums (not entirely the plugs fault, i had some spark/fuel issues).

under normal conditions... yes Iridium plugs should last 100k... they are slightly better than platinum... in fact, that is the market trend, ditch the platinum and go to iridium... they are almost identical in properties, but the iridium is a little better on spark and such... but they are almost the same... probably cheaper in the long run to make too... ha-ha...
