Default Need opinions on exhaust parts

I'm looking into some exhaust mods and I was wondering what/if anyone had any input on the following brands. I'm not looking for the best bang for the buck.

I'm looking for a quality fit, good piece that will last and fit/work properly.

Here are my options:

1. HKS
2. GP Moto
3. GReddy
4. Borla
5. GT Spec.

Any input is apprecieated. I hate buying stuff blind and finding out its crap.[sm=headbang.gif]

I am running a MAXXFAB 3' dp w/o cat to the borla exhaust..I am very satisfied with this setup its not abnoxiously loud but it gets its point across. For everything i paid $525 which isn't very expensive compared to the rest..Really easy install and fitment is good but lining up the tips is a lil tricky,i got my pass. side perfect in the cut-out of the bumper but to do so the driver side sits a lil to the right of the cut out,but its not touching the bumper and its not close enough to burn it......my 2 pennies

I've only had previous experience with Hayame, and I love my custom one on my SRT. But heres some reviews of the other brands from www.carreview.com

Dunno whats best on the Boxer Im not familar with them. Id say Greddy, Borla, or HKS.

I worked on friends WRXs in the past. One had a helix exhaust on it and the other one we put a turbo xs exhaust on. Both fit good. The quality on both seemed to be good as well. The helix one sounded MUCH louder, more of a rice can exhaust. I don't know about GT Spec...i helped put my GT Spec headers on and those were a serious bitch. Fitment was not good at all. Well take that info for what its worth....I would have to agree with lilspark. One of those three.

This is a VW, Porsche or Subaru question? Boxer!?
Then I say put whichever one on that allows me to beat you. LOL. Just don't pay too much money for it, you already did that with the car.
Sorry, but the bagging button was sticking way out there......I HAD to push it!

I love my Mopar/Borla exhaust and I plan on using the Maxxfab 3" turbo to Mopar exhaust kit to complete the package, but the tips as mentioned are a complete biotch to align.

LOL at Pressurecooker. I hear that 100%. The wife drives it primarly, she couldn't pass a Kia with a Z06! ( Its a Subie Boxer) Hey I need all I can get to match a mighty Dodge turbo. ( I have always owned a Dodge....still love em. ) No offense with the smiley. Funny stuff.

It seems the Borla has the check mark next to it. That or the GReddy was what I was considering. I was just thinking that since Mopar is offering Borla thru the performance pipeline, it must be good. Believe it or not the Borla is not the most expensive. Borla was the only one that advertised matched size outlet to the turbo. Its PRETTY TOO! LOL

Funny story. Sunday at the dinner table I was trying to justify the need for a header/up-pipe combo at $600.00. My wife said "what the hell is a boxer engine?". My TEN year old daughter blurts out, "It boxes like this..... (arms boxing, alternating side to side)....... Mommy! I sat there like totally blown away. She's my little boy I never had, she is still pissed the SRT is gone. I had to get her her own boost gauge to keep in her room (thanks CM) for memories.

Anyway, Borla it is and thanks for everyone chirping in. I still love this Forum. Funny how you can read personality's just reading posts, you all are lots of fun. Thanks again.[sm=chairshot.gif] < (my wife hitting me off the head seeing checks I wrote).
Paul.
