Shift Knob Q's??
When I first got my car, in the first month I pulled off the **** probably 4 times, I let my Dad drive it, he pulled it off, I let my brother drive it, he pulled it off, I let my best friend drive it, he pulled it off and all of them after I warned them and told them not too.
So yeah, it is definitely a problem. I would NOT choose loctite thread locker as my first choice, but if you do, get the green colored stuff called cylindrical locking compound. It is for bonding smooth surfaces and would probably be the best choice. I have yet to "fix" mine, but it will involve pulling off the ****, making some internal mods and reassembling with an epoxy, most likely JB Weld. After that, it will have to be cut off to be removed.

You will love the difference the Mopar STS makes. I had a new SRT-4 buyer get in mine and try out my Mopar STS and he fell instantly in love with it, so he is or has by now gotten one. I have never had my stock shift **** come off during use and I had to really pull up on it to get it off to change the shifter. I have also never had it come off since putting my STS in, which I guess some that didn't have the problem before had it after due to loosening from removal and reinstallation. Mine is tight and has no movement at all, so I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones. I really don't see why so many pull up on the shift **** when shifting in the first place, try keeping just the weight of your hand down on the **** to keep from pulling it off.
It is held on by a metal clip, so I don't see how Loc-Tite or any other thread lock could be of any possible use. The other stuff might work though. You could also try bending the clip out a little to give it more grip when the **** is put back on.

Yea so far i love this thing, i didnt put in the booger bushings with it but as of right now i dont think i want too, i just love the way it feels, the **** i feel a little movement but i've tried to just see if i can get it off myself and nothing so far so im just goin to let that go until i elbow someone in the backseat while they are trying to be a back seat DJ lol
