Default Thought I'd share

So I installed my AEM intake yesterday. Took me about 30-40 minutes tops. I didn't take the effin battery off, lol. Made sure everything was nice and tight before turning the car back on, turned it on, and everything was fine. Left it on for about 15 minutes then took it for a test drive, the thing was driving like a motha effin beast... took a glance at my boost gauge... I was hitting 18psi. Is this normal, ON FIRST GEAR! Then every other shift after that I was hitting 20. I got a bit worried but kept driving it to see if it would adjust itself and it did after about 30 minutes of driving it. This happen to anyone else?

Didn't happen to me,but i would do a second look over and make sure all your lines are plugged in and nothings loose..Also the line from the valve cover to the intake dont plug it in, cap the intake and run a breather from the valve cover..If not you will suck oil into your turbo and thats never a good thing!!!

Thanks for the advice I have a weapon R catch can, but I am gonna go with the breather because the weapon R catch can is Universal and doesn't fit. FUC...... Breather it is. Thanks for the tip bro, the psi is normal now, just kinda tripped me out yesterday.

You can go to any parts store and just get a vac. line cap..i think its a 3/8 but im not too sure..Also the other plug thats a lil farther down the intake(has one of the vac.lines from the pack ran to it)either cap that one and put a bolt with a clamp around the line or hook it up and put a clamp to keep it on,good place for a vac. leak to occur!!

Anytime I do anything that will affect the intake/timing/exhaust, etc., I always unhook the negative battery terminal for about 30 minutes. It lets the PCM "forget" the old settings and once you reconnect the terminal and drive it a few miles it relearns the new setting and adjusts accordingly....
