in a basically stock 04 you should be running anywhere from 13.7-13.9, with a 60' of 2.1-2.3 or so.
i've seen cars run with all stages. my best time is a 13.8@101 (03, stage 0, intake and exhaust). stage 1 cars generally run about 13.4-13.5 or so with nothing else, obviously that changes if other parts are added.
stage 2 cars vary greatly in the times that people are seeing out of them. it depends on what mode you're in, dr's or slicks, race gas or not, and obviously if you know how to drive. i've seen stage 2 with stock exhaust on setting 2 with race gas run a 13.3. on dr's/slicks people are consistantly getting into the high 12's. i've also seen plenty of stage 2 cars that can't do better than a 13.5 or so. this i truly believe is because one of two things is going on: 1 - they screwed up the install. 2 - they just can't drive. looking at the time slips of these people before stage 2 was installed, they all seemed to be running no better than 14.2 or higher. so either every single one of them has a slow car, or they just can't drive. personally i think the latter is a more plausable explaination.

Does temperature or elevation make a big difference in times? I know I'm at a pretty good altitude(around 1,700 ft above sea level I think) to produce good times, but it is incredibly hot here(75-80 degrees F for the low on the days I've been to the track). Where are they running 13-7's-13.9's stock?

Sorry, I said altitude but I meant elevation. I came to AZ from Colorado and I know it made a big difference. I have a friend with a '95 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with an upgraded downpipe and a boost controller that was running low 16's in CO and his car is way faster than my Sunfire and my Sunfire ran a 16.5 here in AZ. I think in AZ his car would run high 14's to mid 15's. I've been looking for more info, but this is what keeps coming up:

Anyway, my main point/question is where do the 1/4 mile times come from elevation wise and according to my hypothesis I would run better times in New York/New Jersey because of the lower elevations. Am I right or am I just a bad driver? Either one I will accept. I looked it up and I'm at 1,117 ft above sea level in Phoenix, AZ (with much hotter temps) and Central Park (the first place that came up in my search) is at 89 ft above sea level.

okay, JUST KIDDING! I haven't even tracked mine yet (I am too scared - haha)... but elevation does effect your car, just as air temp, humidity, tire pressure, gravitational pull from the moon, and the amount of stickers on your car... well... maybe not the last two... cause we all know the more stickers the faster your car is
