Hey guys, just wanted to spread the word that stock SRT-4 Rims are expensive and can become targets for theft. I live in an safe neiborhood, yet I had two of my rims and tires stolen off my car parked on the side of my house. Needless to say wheel locks are essential and do not come stock with the car. At my local dealer they cost about $35 for mopar locks, well worth the investment because I just spent $1000 on new wheels and tires!

I bought all new rims and tires and I have 2 OEM Rims and Tires left for sale to try and recoop some money.

I am asking $350 for each rim with Michelin Pilot ZR Rated Tires.

The rims are in mint condition, the tires are used but still have tread on them. Great for a full size spare tire.

weird, I had to practically give my wheels away when I bought aftermarket wheels.

Oh and wheel locks take about 10 seconds longer for a theif (or someone with know-how) to remove than standard lugs to remove. I helped a friend take his wheel locks off after he lost his key. He was so shocked at how quickly I got them off that he didn't bother replacing them.

 

well im going to buy some wheel locks for my new rims.......just hope not everyone knows how to remove them so easy...........are some wheel locks better than others??

 

My "wheel locks" consist of a locked garage, a motion detector, and a 12 guage Mossberg Model 88 riot shotgun loaded with "00" buckshot sitting by the kitchen/garage door......no problems so far.

lock nuts arent that hard you can use a sparkplug socket or torx socket and take them right off besides i could use the insurance claim for new wheels

 

where i live i cant see my car........i dont even use my alarm....as if it was to go off i wouldnt hear it.......sounds like your set Dusty lol

 

Yeah I got some a week or so ago. Picked up a set from Advance Auto for like 12 bucks. Where I live its probly best to have everything Dusty has plus a car alarm, watch dog and anti-personel mines.

 

Had a watchdog but he barked at everything that moved......had to shoot him.

boooster, did you post on SRT Forums about this too?? I read a post over there about someone stealing rims off their car.... just curious if it's the same or if this is now 2 cases I've heard about...
