It's sad what dealers put people through. A warranty is a warranty. It covers defects in materials or workmanship. I always try to view it this way regardless of what the car has on it. Some of the crap I hear all of you going thru is crazy. The thing this forum has going for it is that many on here are "hands on". In other words, you can do the stuff yourself.

I will make this statement; "Warranty does not cover stupidity". I get guys that fill their diesel trucks with unleaded, and then ask if its covered!!!

I have an 04 in the shop with third gear blown out of it.....and it's warranty. The car is modded, but I could care less. It's a performance car, things will break. I get paid from the factory. The big problem is parts returns. If DCX calls back a turbo from a claim, if they find it's modified, they will charge the dealer back. Charge backs are the #2 reason dealers may not help you. Probably the #1 reason is warranty doesn't pay as much and they figuire you can play, you can pay.

That car SUCKED!!! Stupid third gear. Not only was it third gear, it was fuses/e-brake and other miscellaneous nonsense.

Lets see what's done to dan's car:
AGP WGA
TurboXS MBC
Removed Resonators
Chopped Stock Shifter
Solid MMs

I think thats it. But I could take MY car to you and you would warranty it. One of these days Ill do just that LOL. Once I get fed up with Lincoln, who also has the same mentality that you do. They were telling me exactly how much I should gap my plugs based on MSD ignition's specs and such. Me and the tech went out and had a BLAST with the boost controller and ripping the tires loose. I mean as long as the part doesnt cause the damage your good to go.

Though I did run into a dealer that said since I had a straight exhaust I was no longer street legal and therefore he couldnt work on my car. Oh damn....I was disgruntled. LOL

Mine will remain stock and get oil changes or warranty issues from the dealer. Any non warranted parts will be replaced by someone I can trust....ME. Little car has been running like a top thankfully.

I want to see PSIchick's car in my shop! LMAO. My techs would go nuts. [sm=jawdrop.gif]

It's been two years since I've seen it in person. And by the way, you do still have a warranty.....5/100 rust thru. No mechanical mod could take that.

unless of course you had to drill a hole in the panel to mount the mod, then bye-bye rust thru warranty...lol.
