Ok, while installing the a Mopar SRT-4 A/F ratio gauge, Mopar oil pressure gauge and Mopar BOV (blue plate) conversion I got a check engine light. The car started throwing codes. It turns out that I needed a new O2 sensor. Does this sound right??? Which upgrade would have caused the O2 sensor to go bad or appear not functional?
Just found out.....it is the A/F gauge and evidently it cannot be set up with the stock O2 sensor. You have to get an aftermarket O2 sensor. Doesn't make much sense but oh well. There is another 140 bucks down the drain. Oh yeah, it is reading rich.
if ur o2 sensors throw the check engine light it will run rich... because it wont know where lean or rich is... so its safier to run rich than lean.....
