Has anybody had problems with their boost guage. I get a very obnotious rattle as I get more boost. Is this common.

 

Common with a bad boost gauge I've heard. Try searching old threads for 'gauge buzz' or something. I think there is a TSB at dodge about the issue.

A little ways down you'll see a reply from BigE with an attachment picture of the 5 IC hoses that you may wanna check. If any are loose, it could be causing the problem if it's a vibrating needle. All of them can be reached fairly easily. I just did it last week and it didn't take too long.

I had the same problem when I bought my car, it had a nasty rattle when I would hit boost, took it to the dealership, got it replaced, everything is working cool now. There was a backorder on those, everything should be fine, take it to the dealership, they have to replace it.

 

I turned my boost up and mines rattling even in VAC now. Damn it all to hell. Yeah the dealer will replace it, either that or upgrade it!! Thats my philosophy, if its broken, and I can upgrade it, ILL DO IT!
