Default Notes/Observations on the Mopar/Borla exhaust...

Just a few notes/observations from my "experience" with the Mopar/Borla exhaust:
After the car got in the shop, the first thing they did was pop the hood and look at the engine. Nothing but grins and smiles from the mechanics. The shop had air powered tools so they got the old system off (with some help from WD-40) and got the new one on before I had time to finish a cup of coffee. The only thing they had problems with was getting the tips lined up right. At one point, it took TWO people to do the job, one to hold the right side tip, and another to tighten it all up. They did a good job, it looks much better than the stock tips. Total install time by the shop....40 minutes.
They even loaded the old system into the car which took a bit of creative thinking.

The mechanic started it up to check for leaks, and I don't know who had a bigger grin on their face, him or me. After hearing it, the shop owner came up to me and asked, "How many horsepower is that thing putting out?" I told him with the Stage 1, it would be around 250. He walked away, mumbling.

The system is louder for sure and with the windows rolled up, the noise in the car is much more than with the stock system. The tone is a bit different, but just as pleasing as the stock. As for power, the low end is improved and the mid range pulls stronger. I haven't had it out on the highway yet, so I can't say anything about the high end. All in all, I'd have to give this mod five stars out of five....[sm=smiley20.gif]

Congrats on ya install. I can only imagine when my Borla comes in. Dude, you must get the Dyno on it! and give the numbers. like i said b4, i should be gettin mine by the end of the month. Also, i just got off the phone with AGPturbo, they shipped off my FMIC on Fri (21). so i should be gettin both roughly around the same time.... BUT, Still have to wait on the S2[:@].

Awsome
Peace

i beleive there is a dyno graph at modern performance, just click on the mopar/borla exhaust info. with the stage 1 and short ram intake it claims 10 more hp and 11 more ft.# of torque.

Yep, that's what I saw as well, although I think those figures are for a 2003 SRT-4. Either way, it's a cool mod, both for performance and sound! Now, I gotta the the BOV on!!!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

Yeah, I really want to dyno it once I get the CAI and Stage 1 on....hopefully in about 3-4 weeks. Hope you get your Stage 2 soon, roach.....[&:]

Yeah, I think you'll be a happy camper.....the exhaust itself is a trip, you get lots of attention with just that, add the BOV and Stage 1, and you've got a problem free go-fast racer for $8,000 to $10,000 less than anyone else....and even with today's prices, that kind of money will buy a lot of gas!!!!!![sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

[sm=smiley32.gif][sm=smiley32.gif][sm=smiley32.gif]GREAT!!!!!! I'm soooo glad to hear that you got it on and love it.[sm=smiley20.gif] Now I need to get off my butt and find someone that has it and order it up. For mine I will be cutting out the resonator and running a straight pipe instead, but I still cannot wait to hear and feel the difference.[sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]
