Shift Light Install??
Okay, so I finally received my Raptor Performance shift light... and I'm looking to install it...
however, the three wire hook up is simple enough (red = 12 volt switched power, black = ground, and green = tach signal)... but the tach signal is what is giving me some trouble. The instructions from Raptor's site says to use the black w/gray wire off the coil... but I don't want to run this green wire all the way out to the engine bay and such... is there any where else this thing can attach to? I've been looking through the wiring schematics but I'm not finding anything of value...
I'm open to some ideas... thanks!

doh! thanks for the info... that's what I was afraid of when I was looking at it... I had hoped there was something that sent a signal to the gauge cluster in the dash... but my fears have been confirmed... argh!
well... looks like the shift light install will have to wait a few days until I feel better (stupid head cold) and have some time to take things apart...
I'll try and get some pic's up when it's in the car... now, if I can find a place to run that wire from inside the car to outside... hmmm turbo toys is ringing a bell... hmmmm

You really dont have to take anything apart. If you take the top piece of the dash off you can run it right down there, theres a rubber grommet front and center above the pedals, just slide it through the grommet and go from there.
Theres a bunch of wires that go through there, you can peel the grommet back and slide the wire through, then just put the grommet back where it belongs. If I remember correctly you kinda have to peel the rubber piece thats under the carpet back slightly to see it. But if you use that, its easy to run a wire through your engine bay. I have holes drilled in mine in two places, that are siliconed shut and I've never had an issue with water leaking into either of them.
