How much HP out of the stock turbo?
Going to get a 05 SRT-4 in June or July. Was just wondering how much HP can I get out of the stock turbo. I'm looking to get around 350HP. Was thinking I could easily get there with full bolt-on's and a 50trim turbo running 25psi or less. So what do you guys think?
i was able to hit 327 340 torque on stock turbo. All you need are supporting mods. I think with coupld more mods, i could of hit 350hp stock turbo. Just didnt want to wait and spend more money on the stock setup so i went with a t61-1 turbo.

mchat do you mean 300 with stock pcm or even with upgraded pcm stg1 or stg2 ? i would think with a staged kit you could get more than 300 out of stock turbo..

Right around 330 is the most I've heard of for the stock turbo. Most people won't see even 300 out of it though. And getting big numbers out of the stocker means that you're most likely running race gas. So what do you want: 300-350whp on race gas or 400whp on pump gas?

On 93 octane and stock turbo i pushed out 327hp and 340 torque with just tuning and boltons at 20psi. If i would of had a ported intake manifold/tb, ported head, and a intercooler sprayer, im pretty sure ill be 350+ with a 11.9 air/fuel stock turbo(stage2 injectors). You just have to know what you need. Stock turbo gives you great low and mid range, but sucky top end. Work on your top end power. Crane cams are recommened, ive got 50hp gain at 6k rpms on my 0016 cams with the springs and cam gears. You just need to know what to use. I think 370hp is possible on stock turbo. You just need to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the stock turbo. I dunno, now that i went big turbo, its not as fun as it was with stock turbo. I might go back with stock turbo with a FRESH NEW ONE from mopar and hit that 370hp mark.
