SRT Track Experience Journal
Wed. March 29th:
Getting warmer and warmer. Haven't seen rain in over a week. Only six more days till I Viperize. Still, can't check the weather yet. Those 10 day forecasts are never accurate. I'll just end up getting falsely psych'd or bummed out. I'll just have to (Viper) try to forget about it (Viper) for a while. It will come (Viper) soon enough without me (Viper) obsessing about it. And don't even think (Viper) about checking the forecast yet! (M.u.s.t...... r.e.s.i.s.t)
Sunday April 2nd:
Took the whole famn damily to Roger Williams Park Zoo. Had some superbulous weatheration. The weather just gets better and better. Could this be a trend? Me thinks so. Ok, we are in 'Three-day Forecast' range now. Not as predictable as an Iraqi with a car bomb, but a far cry from the 10 day'er.
Nah, these things get constantly updated. I'll wait till tonight.
Sunnight April 2nd and a half:
Should I?.... Oh what the hell, it's barely more than a day away.
<---click.... click--->
WTF!!!! "Rain / snow , low of 29".... Rain would be bad enough on it's own, but SNOW!!!!
Draw me a warm bath and get me a straight razor, cause I'm done!
Again, WTFW!! Did I commit some heinous act in a previous life?!? Was I a Ford owner?? (I didn't forget to capitalize, by the way)
Did I wear plaid with stripes??
Did I own a ford?? (see grammer disclaimer above)
Did I beat baby calves (redundant-redundant) to within an inch of their little moo lives, strip them of their little moo leg bones, use the bones to make clubs, then club baby seals to death with them?? (Maybe that one was a little over the top, but I'm trying to prove a point here, work with me on this one)
Did I drive a ford?? (Alright, that one was way over the top, but again, I'm trying to prove a point here. Work with me on this one too)
It had to be something pretty bad to warrant this cruel and unethical abuse!
Did I drive a f...?? (OK, enough with the Ford thing)
P.S.
Note to self: Buy an F'in straight razor! Jeeeeeeeeez!
........
(Well the bath is nice and warm, seems a shame to let it go to waste)
Nausiatic disclaimer: The following visual was censored for your benifit, you can thank me later.
Mon. April 3rd:
Slump, drag, sigh........ Sigh again. More slumping, more dragging, sigh, sigh, sigh....
<---BTW: Doesn't anyone carry straight razors anymore! Watzup with that!--->
More slumping, sighing, and dragging (repeat ad nauseum)
Tue. April 4th... V-Day:
Well, it's off to the the SRT Bobsled experience! Whoopty F'in Doo!
Ah, the Berkshires are just lovely in the rain....... and sporadic snow. <--sigh-->
NEWS FLASH
There is an SRT God!
Synopsis:
Cars where AWESOME!
Instructors where AWESOME!
Weather was......... well it cooperated just enough to keep it interesting.
Learned to drive in wet conditions, mild snow conditions (didn't stick), and had enough dry track to keep it fun.
Not as much time in the Viper as I would have liked, but with no ESP (and 500+ HP), I can see why they have to do it the way they do.
Sun was out (and track was dry) for the "Thrill Rides" at the end. (bring a fresh pair of undy's, [if you wear them!] No LSP, that wasn't directed at you. But it does give the rest of us something to ponder.... <--see LSP is Hot thread, i.e. wooky boots, money shot, yahda, yahda, yahda-->
But I digress....
Surprise of the day: Cherokee SRT 8
As advertised, "0-60 in under 5 sec., wet or dry". And they ain't kidding! The fastest SRT 8 made! I know I was shocked by that.
Overall Rating: Wicked Pissa
Moral of the day: Don't bitch at the pharmacy guy for not carrying straight razors.
Surprise of the day #2: Ford owners are generous people. I must have gotten 100 PMs from ford owners offering to give me a straight razor! And most where willing to deliver it. At least that's what I think they meant. What most said was "and I'll run it up you real good".
That means they'll deliver, right?
Ford disclaimer: No Fords or Ford owners were harmed during the making of this post.
Just so you all know I'm just bust'in w/ the ford guys, my first 12 sec. 1/4mi was done in a 90 'Stang. I'll never forget it. It was a thrill.
But this is "Dodge Forums", is it not?
Can I get a AMEN!

easy...my little plastic car will never have the appeal of my 66 blue oval.
now....on to bashing vetts and mullet wearing camaro drivers.
Went on a road trip in the 4 and let my buddy drive for 4 hours. he has a 71 & 99 vett, 96 dodge truck, 1100 cbr xx blackbird, harley...yeah yeah...old and never lost his possesions thru "equitable distribution of assets"....not that im bitter....lol.
anyway he is going for the srt experience at beavrun with me...i guess he liked what the 4 had to offer, we ran a few miles with a daytona pickup at ~130, i think the truck needed to exit for gas. Besides how do you resist a flat out run in a viper?
