Boost question
ORIGINAL: mxrnick
when at like 300rpm in 3rd gear and you step on it (full throttle) you should be reading between 10-15 psi. with no leaks it should be 14psi. some srt-4s have read 16-17 psi.

however, after checking multiple times it varies alot....on average its about 10psi boost for all gears.
am i leaking?
remember too that boost is dependant on weather conditions, so if it's been slightly cold then you'll see lower boost levels. but it does sound like you have a leak somewhere, check the places that the diagram says, and also check your vacum lines to make sure that they are all connected.
Also keep in mind the stock gauges suck. First of all they are not that accurate to begin with. I went through 2 stock gauges that crapped on me.
Also make sure your boost gauge is sitting at 0 when car is off, if not then you need a new one.
