TWIN TURBO???

I don't think he's doing it for HUGE power gains, so much as to say he's the first with it.

If I got ~280whp out of the stock turbo on pump gas, then I'd say that a twin turbo should be able to make around 500 on pump, and 600 or so on race gas. And probably spool up quicker than a single big turbo that'd put down the same kind of numbers.
Can you not use the turbos in tandum.....
1 to spool up quick for launch and another slower spooling one to add more boost / pull for mid top end?
As far as ive herd that is possible - If that is so then i would think a twin set up would have advantage over single huge setup.
But i could be wrong im just getting into the turbo stuff so im still a NOOB!

what your describing thereis a sequential twin turbo setup. although there are a few cars out there that come with that setup from the factory, it is not a common thing due to its complexity. i read a paper from SAE about this type of turbo setup and even looking at the diagrams of all of the things needed to run a sequential setup, i still couldnt fully understand how it worked. the reason it requires so many things to make it operate seamlessly is because the problem arises when you switch from the small turbo to both turbos, or from turbo 1 to turbo 2... its very hard to spool up turbo #2 before its pushing air to your engine. this is doneto avoid the break in performance you would have with the switch. very complex electronic as well as mechanicalcontrol is required for a sequential setup.
TT setups are great depending on what u want to do with it. I'd think it's just too much work unless... Mopar came out with a TT Stage Kit with ECU. Actually that's not a bad idea! Just like putting in stage 3 but a TT setup. Hmmmm....
Yeah I read through some of that thread on the other site and if my memory serves me correct they dyno'ed it with twins at around 400 whp/tq. I think the biggest reason to do twins is for a more linear powerband.
