Default heat shield

is modernperformance the only site or store that sells the coil heat shield?....there is this one off ebay but i dont like it as much as the modern one.

pt performance has a nice one..its similar to the modernperformance.....but it has srt-4 stamped out in the upper part......plus you can get it in colors

ya i actually just bought the check valve off him, waiting for a invoice so can pay him though.... i will see if has the heat shield, thanks

I like it, but it may leak some heat through the srt-4 cutouts hehe....

I've got a new one available as well, nylon spacers and all to reduce temps even further. I don't have them on the website yet, but if you check my thread on srtforums in my vendor section (glacial graphics) you can see them in there

I think it's funny that you guys pay so much for a heat shield. Why don't you just go to your local parts store and get heat resistant foil that insulates. For ridgitidy, make the main part out of card board and then wrap it in the heat shield.

your completely entitled to the idea and privelege to do that, but I know for a fact i would not be putting insulated cardboard on my car whatsoever. Materials/labor isn't cheap, so that's why people spend the amount of money they do on my heatshields. That plus if it costs a few bucks more to make a quality piece, I'm going to make it, saving a dollar here and there and skimping on the little things has led to way too many problems in my history with cars LOL
