Srt-4 v.s evo 8
Who should win stock for stock because i have been watching vids all night on street fire with srt's eating evo's alive. I know i saw one that said the srt was lightly modded and i dont know about the evo but the srt was killing the evo.
Thanks,
Thanks,
No problem! I actually didn't mean to bench race i just wanted to see where the srt was as far as speed/comparison and since i know what the evo can do i thought i'd ask. Also is there a way to rephrase ?'s like this so that it wont be considered bench racing?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Owning both, srt and evo9, I say it is pretty close, I only say this because I just can't bring myself to drop the cluth at 5000rpm. I think the evo is a bit quicker, but not much, it is a drivers race. Just be careful, the evo will outhandle an srt and lay down power thru corners, ect...If say, the srt had drag radials, things could be a lot different. Both cars are fairly easy to modify and have lots of potential. After seeing all the srt crashes, it makes me wonder, just be careful out there.

I have to say owning a Srt-4 and driving a Evo 8, I think the Srt-4 is better except for handling. But we are all forgetting the Evo has about 50 more hp so pound for pound with some suspension work on the Srt-4 I think it is a much better car. Also I have seen the trubo lag less in the srt-4 then the evo even though when the evo trubo does kick in it feels like the car is about to life up from all the power hitting all 4 wheels. I also had an experience on a evo forum where i asked the same question and someone responded that a srt-4 slightly modded will give evo competeion but then he said that all you have to do with a evo is "and then he listed a list of things to beat a srt-4". I thought this was pitiful that it took all that to keep up with a $20,000 car. SRT-4 all the way.

My question to you Evo owners......instead of just dropping the clutch, why can't you feather it like most of the SRT drivers do? it looks like you still could take advantage of the AWD, but not destroy the tranny or the clutch.
