Help with Performance upg
The Crane Firewire or the MSD Super Conductors should take care of the spark blowout. The MSD are less than 50 ohms per foot of resistance, I don't know the resistance of the Crane wires. The damage I have seen to the factory wires appears to me to be due to too much resistance. It looks like the coil is overloading the stock wires and causing them to melt from the inside out. No matter the reason, either of these wires should get the job done.

Its better to bypass the air box completely and go with a good CAI. Just cutting a hole in the stock air box location IMO doesn't get the fresh colder air that you would like. All the CAI's that I have seen place the air cleaner in the drivers fender wall. With a flex pipe you can remove the drivers driving lamp and connect the flex to the inlet. Just like what the Mustangs did to get the air flow.</P>
As far as the hood mod ( cutting the hole in the top of the stock air box and in the hood ) Don't do it. When it rains water WILL be sucked into the air box.</P>
P.S. We dont have a 1/4 mile track just a 1/8 mile,best yet is 9.001</P><edited><editID>Gargoile</editID><editDate>37984.5512037037</editDate></edited>
